  • Withdrawing verified earnings to a registered Nigerian bank account

4. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be listed, sold, or traded on Tradelink under any circumstances:

Listings found to contain prohibited items will be removed immediately. Repeat violations will result in permanent account termination and may be reported to the Nigeria Police Force, EFCC, or other relevant authorities.

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Tradelink:

  • Creating multiple accounts to evade suspension or verification requirements

6. Seller Obligations

All sellers on Tradelink must:

  • Complete store verification by submitting a valid BVN before activating a store
  • Provide accurate business name, contact details, and product information
  • Only list items that are in stock and available for immediate fulfilment
  • Dispatch orders within the stated timeframe and provide proof of dispatch on request
  • Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, including consumer protection and tax obligations
  • Respond promptly to buyer queries and dispute requests
  • Not list the same product at artificially inflated prices to manipulate platform fees or escrow

7. Buyer Obligations

All buyers on Tradelink must:

  • Only place orders for items you genuinely intend to buy and pay for
  • Confirm receipt of an order only after physically receiving and inspecting the item
  • Raise disputes promptly, in good faith, and with honest supporting evidence
  • Not abuse the chargeback or dispute mechanism to obtain free goods
  • Provide accurate delivery addresses and contact information

8. Identity Verification and KYC

Tradelink operates a tiered Know Your Customer (KYC) programme consistent with the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) guidelines:

  • Tier 1 (all users): Full name, email address, phone number, and profile photo at registration
  • Tier 2 (store activation): Submission of a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) to verify seller identity against NIBSS records
  • Tier 3 (high-value accounts): Additional documentation may be requested for accounts exceeding transaction thresholds or flagged by our risk monitoring system

Identity information is processed securely via Paystack's verified identity infrastructure and is not stored in raw form on Tradelink servers.

9. Enhanced Due Diligence

Tradelink applies Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) measures to sellers and transactions that present elevated risk indicators:

  • Accounts where BVN verification returns a mismatch have transactions placed on hold pending manual review
  • Sellers with transaction volumes exceeding defined thresholds are subject to periodic re-verification
  • Accounts flagged by multiple buyers for non-delivery or fraud are placed under enhanced monitoring
  • Transactions with unusual patterns (e.g. sudden high-value orders from a new account) trigger manual review before fund release
  • Accounts matching EFCC, INTERPOL, or UN sanctions screening lists are blocked and reported
  • All EDD decisions are logged, timestamped, and available to regulatory authorities on lawful request

10. Monitoring and Enforcement

  • Tradelink monitors listings, transactions, and user activity for policy violations
  • Automated systems flag suspicious listings and behaviour for human review
  • Verified violations result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent termination
  • Serious violations (fraud, financial crime, trafficking) are reported to Nigerian authorities
  • Tradelink cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies on lawful requests

11. Reporting Violations

If you encounter a listing or user that violates this policy, please report it immediately:

Email: tradelinksupport@gmail.com

In-App: Use the “Report” option on any listing or user profile

Website: tradelink.ng

Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We treat all reports confidentially and do not disclose the identity of the reporting party to the subject of the report.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in law, platform features, or risk environment. Material changes will be announced via the app at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of Tradelink after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
